The Lugano world globe is a 12-inch illuminated desktop globe featuring dual maps. Physical earth landmass shadings and blue ocean cartography with thousands of up-to-date geographic points of reference (light off), and political boundaries cartography (each country is shown in a different color for easy identification) with light on.

When illuminated many features stand out and are easier to read along with exposing some cartographic features not seen when the illumination is off. This globe includes a well appointed hard wood lens shaped stand featuring a metal numbered semi-meridian indicating number of degrees north or south of the equator a point of interest is located.

Whether identifying places of travel or current events, this globe makes an excellent functional decor piece for any home, office or library with its clear & easy to read cartography. The cord exits the globe at the attachment between the globe and meridian at the south pole and includes an inline switch to easily turn the globe on and off. Easy to change light bulb (instructions included).
